A recent study suggest that cannabidiol can be used to treat epilepsy

Cannabidiol

Cannabidiol is a new compound discovered by researchers that have been shown to reduce anxiety in patients suffering from social phobia. It was found that it inhibits THC-elicited paranoid symptoms. Another study also found that it inhibited the development of hippocampal-dependent memory impairment in rats. According to the journal Neuropsychopharmacology, it suppressed nitric oxide production in beta-amyloid-stimulated PC12 neurons.

In addition to reducing seizure frequency and severity, Cannabidiol also reduces adverse events, such as seizures. In animal studies, it is associated with fewer adverse events and increased plasma levels. The benefits of this can be seen in humans, too, although the FDA has not evaluated it as yet. It is still necessary to do further research before recommending it for human use.

A recent study published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology reported that cannabidiol reduced the anxiety levels of patients suffering from social phobia. This study used it to treat patients with phenobarbital-induced apathy. In rats, it inhibited the reward-facilitating effects of morphine. This was further verified in a recent open-label trial in multiple sclerosis.

In the study conducted by Crippa JAS and Spriggs, it also inhibited hyperlocomotion in mice and rats. Furthermore, it decreased cigarette consumption among people who smoked tobacco, while it improved memory and concentration in rats. The study concluded that it may be an effective treatment for the symptoms of heroin addiction. The results showed that it reduced the consumption of cigarettes in both human and animal experiments.

In animal studies, it inhibited the growth of human glioma cells. The study also showed that it inhibited amphetamine-induced oxidative stress. It also prevented ischemia and analgesia and reduced the risk of cancer. The findings were presented at the 34th National Congress of the Italian Society of Pharmacology in 2009.

A recent study in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology showed that it inhibited the reward-facilitating effects of morphine in rats. This is an important finding, as it has a wide variety of applications. Its ability to fight cancer has been demonstrated by the study of Sativex. It is also useful in treating social phobia in humans.

There are several forms of cannabidiol available. The most common are the oil solution and the sublingual wafer. It is also used as an anti-anxiety medication in people with chronic pain. Moreover, the nabiximols can be used in a single or multiple dose. In a study, it was shown to reduce central pain and inflammation in multiple sclerosis.

It is also used to treat epilepsy. It can be ingested or applied topically. However, the therapeutic effects of this are more apparent when it is ingested rather than applied to the skin. While ingestion is the most common way to administer it, topical application is a safer method to deliver cannabidiol.

In a study by Ben-Menachem and Arenas Cabrera, it has a favorable effect on the pharmacokinetics of carbamazepine. Moreover, it has been shown to inhibit inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. It is a non-psychotropic phytocannabinoid that has a broad spectrum of beneficial effects.
